Following its takeover four years ago, BUTTING has been investing in the production site in Saxony-Anhalt. The management system and manufacturing processes have been adapted and optimised. The employees have been trained in the core competences of welding, forming and material grade technology. Thanks to this, in recent months, the site has been able to qualify for important national and international certifications, such as NORSOK.
"Since the takeover,BUTTING Könnern has made significant progress in meeting customer demand for our well-known quality," explains Henning Lütkemüller, Managing Director of BUTTING Könnern. "Our focus is on the production of stainless steel pipes: coil pipes up to DN 600 and plate pipes up to DN 1200 with small to medium wall thicknesses." The company's own plate warehouse enables it to produce standard pipes to BUTTING quality standards at short notice.
Norbert Heinzle, Managing Director of BUTTING in Knesebeck, is convinced by the strategy: "At BUTTING Könnern, we have another competitive site with lean structures. It is not only geared to major projects, but also to short-term requirements for repairs or drop shipments, especially for common dimensions and materials. Our production capacities also enable reliable availability for coil and plate pipes. This means that we can offer our customers short, reliable delivery times for fast-track requirements, completing BUTTING's broad range of products and services."
