This strategic investment enables BUTTING to respond directly to the growing demand for high-quality stainless steel products in North America, while demonstrating a clear commitment to regional value creation and operating sustainably close to the customer.
“As a family-owned company with a history spanning almost 250 years, we understand the values that matter to our customers and partners. We are now responding to their needs. This means that in just a few weeks, we will be able to manufacture the first BUTTING-quality products here in Loxley. Next year, we will move into our own production hall," explains Marcel Bartels, CEO of the BUTTING Group's Division Plant Engineering, outlining the reasons behind the Knesebeck family-owned company's new subsidiary to the USA.
After careful consideration, Loxley was the choice. Its location in Baldwin County provides access to a large pool of skilled workers and excellent transport links to all parts of the USA. Just a few miles from the new BUTTING plant the modern Baldwin Preparatory Academy is located, a center for future-oriented, skilled training.
“That was one of the decisive factors in our choice of Loxley”, explains Marcel Bartels. “We know that we can only guarantee our special BUTTING-quality with well-trained employees. That's why we cooperate with Baldwin Prep, gradually training new employees. In doing so, we offer young Americans strong career prospects.”
Adrian Rochofski, CEO of BUTTING USA, adds, “We are bringing our expertise and our company culture with us. Our goal is to establish the BUTTING brand in America. We have ideal conditions for this here. Our corporate culture is the key to innovative solutions and sustainable success.”
The new production facility will complement BUTTING's global production network, meeting the family-owned company's high quality standards like all other sites. The first phase of this ambitious project will lay the foundation for sustainable expansion.
“BUTTING is on the 'Highway to America'! We are where our customers are, and that's why we will soon be manufacturing in the United States of America too”, concludes Marcel Bartels.
