For years BUTTING has been seen as a reliable supplier of special ready-for-installation products and precision components. "More than pipes" means for BUTTING the further processing of pipes or plates into a new, customised product by means of joining, cutting, forming, surface technology and mechanical processing. Equipped with modern 3D laser technology, robot welding technology, forming, grinding and CNC-turning and milling technology, the production centre works at the highest technical level. With appropriate investment, we significantly expanded the existing product and service portfolio at our production centre in Knesebeck.
For example, a machining centre was recently acquired, which is equipped with a main and counter spindle and two overhead tool turrets. It allows two-sided machining, which significantly reduces machining times. In the future, components with lengths of up to 3 000 mm and a maximum turning diameter of 700 mm can be processed on this machine. In addition, the machine has a C- and a Y-axis, for example to perform off-centre milling or component lettering. Ergonomic workplace design and employee safety were our priorities during machine selection and the decision for integrated fit-in support.
