BUTTING: one of the first companies in the region to offer vaccinations

The health and safety of employees has always been of paramount importance for BUTTING. Over recent months the family business, together with its corporate healthcare service (Betriebsärztlicher Dienst B·A·D Gesundheitsvorsorge und Sicherheitstechnik GmbH), have been considering how best to offer all employees a workplace coronavirus vaccination.

In fact, BUTTING was one of the first companies in the region to offer its employees a first vaccination as early as the second week of June. Since 10 June, employees have been able to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine through the corporate healthcare service.

Stefan Fuss, Head of Human resources, explains: "We allow our employees to be vaccinated during working hours here at the workplace. We see this as a service to our employees. As with other vaccination centres, we are dependent on vaccine supplies. Nevertheless, we're currently confident that all first vaccinations will be administered within two weeks. We plan to administer the second doses six weeks later."

"We're pleased to be one of the first companies in the region to be able to offer vaccines to our employees through our company doctors, so soon after the wider vaccination rollout," explains Jan-Henrik Godau, Head of HSE at BUTTING. "This is due in no small part to the great working relationship with our corporate healthcare service. We would also like to thank the in-house pandemic team, as well as other employees who are supporting us on a voluntary basis. We couldn't have organised this campaign without all their help and vaccinate up to 120 employees every day."
