BUTTING in Knesebeck: Pensioners' Christmas party at BUTTING 2025

Warm encounters, familiar conversations and many shared memories characterised the retirees' Christmas party at BUTTING at the beginning of December. Around 125 former employees came together in the BUTTING hall of the Knesebeck Schützenhaus.

The guests were welcomed by Hanne Butting, representing the eighth generation of the entrepreneurial family. Together with Henning Lütkemüller, Business Unit Manager Welded Stainless Steel Tubes, and Burkhard Olfermann, Chairman of the Works Council, she warmly welcomed the long-time companions on behalf of the BUTTING family and on behalf of Hermann Butting. In her speech, she clearly expressed her appreciation for the former employees: "Each and every one of you has contributed with commitment, knowledge and passion to making BUTTING what we are today."

The kindergarten's performance provided an atmospheric introduction. The children filled the hall with a Christmassy atmosphere with a 15-minute singing performance.

Hanne Butting and Henning Lütkemüller then gave an insight into the development of the BUTTING Group. The Group Management Team, the new members of the BUTTING Group PrePipe, the new Oberursel site and the extensive activities in the USA were presented. A look at the international locations showed impressively how dynamically and at the same time stably the family-owned company has developed in recent years.

There was great interest in the outlook for the coming years. Even in retirement, many of those present are keeping a close eye on how "their" company is developing. Specific examples were used to show how targeted investments are being made in the future - in modern infrastructure, new facilities, optimised processes, safety, sustainability and the Knesebeck site.

This outlook for the future was rounded off by the presentation of Strategy 2030, which describes BUTTING's long-term course: economically stable, sustainable, internationally oriented and value-orientated - with the clear aim of handing over a healthy and sustainable family business to the next generations.

Afterwards, the guests took the opportunity to socialise over coffee and a sumptuous cake buffet. Conversations, memories and shared stories characterised this part of the afternoon and made the special BUTTING togetherness tangible.

At the end, each guest traditionally received a gift: this year an original Salzwedeler Baumkuchen. A regional token of appreciation and an atmospheric end to an afternoon that impressively demonstrated what BUTTING stands for - solidarity, gratitude and a strong sense of togetherness across generations.
