For an international project in the mining industry, our Schwedt-based expert unit for container, tank and apparatus construction developed and manufactured two large containers that were transported to Kazakhstan by ship via the Schwedt harbour. The project was commissioned by a customer of BUTTING Canada, which provided regional and sales support for the realisation.
A "Steam Conditioning Vent Gas Quench Vessel" and a "Condensate Filtration Solution Heater" were manufactured from the high-quality duplex material 1.4410. The units measure up to 12 metres in length, more than 5 metres in width and almost 5 metres in height. With a total weight of over 57 tonnes, the project impressively underlines the technical capabilities of our colleagues in Schwedt.
The international mining industry is one of the most demanding branches of industry in the world. Extreme operating conditions and complex processes require durable solutions, maximum material expertise and experienced project partners. BUTTING develops customised systems that are designed for cost-effectiveness, high operational reliability and efficient processes.
A particular advantage of our Schwedt site is its direct proximity to the harbour. Michael Bluoss, Managing Director of BUTTING Anlagenbau in Schwedt, explains: "Short distances between production and shipping reduce time and logistics costs and create ideal conditions for international heavy transport. For our customers, this means a high level of planning security and the cost-effective realisation of complex projects."
From engineering and production to international logistics, BUTTING supports projects with a high level of vertical integration and bundled responsibility from a single source. The high degree of prefabrication supports efficient processes on the customer side and creates advantages during subsequent implementation.
"The project also demonstrates the strength of international cooperation within the BUTTING Group," explains Michael Bluoss. "While our experts in Schwedt are responsible for development, production and despatch, BUTTING Canada supports the project realisation together with the end customer on site. The close cooperation between our locations worldwide results in short coordination channels, quick decisions and customised solutions for international industrial projects."
The current shipment of the two large containers is an example of what distinguishes BUTTING worldwide: specialised expert units, international project expertise and the ability to implement demanding industrial projects safely, economically and reliably.
