Trust, reliability and joint development have characterised the partnership between Emerson and BUTTING for more than a decade. Emerson has once again honoured BUTTING with the Service Excellence Award 2025 and the Sustainability Award 2025.
The honours were presented during a visit by Justin Pete, Vice President of Supply Chain at Emerson, and other representatives of Emerson’s management team to the company’s headquarters in Knesebeck. Following this, the guests were able to see for themselves the family-run company’s manufacturing expertise and operational capabilities during a tour of the production facilities.
BUTTING had previously been honoured by Emerson with the “Supplier Recognition Award” in 2018. This renewed recognition confirms the successful development of a partnership based on quality, technical expertise and mutual trust.
Growing together
The partnership began in 2013 following initial contact from BUTTING Canada. What started as orders for flow measurement components has developed into an international partnership that continues to grow in scope.
Today, the BUTTING Group supports Emerson at sites in the USA, Mexico, Romania and China. Over the years, the scope of services has been continuously expanded – from individual components to additional manufacturing and machining services. This development demonstrates how initial projects can give rise to a robust international partnership.
Recognition for performance and responsibility
Emerson is one of the world’s leading providers of automation and technology solutions for demanding industrial applications. Founded in 1890 and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, the company employs around 71,000 people worldwide and supports its customers in optimising processes and driving innovation.
“These awards recognise suppliers who meet our high standards for quality, on-time delivery and sustainability. BUTTING has been supporting our international activities for many years with a high level of expertise and reliability,” emphasises Justin Pete, Vice President of Supply Chain at Emerson.
“What began with initial contacts in Canada has developed over the years into an international partnership. Receiving this award once again demonstrates how much can be achieved through long-term thinking and shared growth,” explains Markus Hahn, Managing Director of BUTTING Canada.
The Service Excellence Award confirms the high level of performance and reliability of the BUTTING Group. With the Sustainability Award, Emerson also recognises the commitment to sustainable business practices and responsible corporate governance.
“Such recognition does not stem from a single site or a single department,” adds Jörn Kubiak, Head of the Pipe Technology Business Unit. “It is the result of the daily commitment of many employees who, with their expertise and dedication, contribute to our customers’ success.”
More than ten years of successful collaboration make the partnership with Emerson a powerful example of ‘Progress by Tradition’.
