For 35 years, BUTTING employees have been working together to support people and projects in the region around the company's headquarters. With their voluntary monthly contributions, they support families, clubs and social organisations, thereby strengthening local social interaction.
What began in 1990 as a gift for the then company owner Dr Hannshermann Butting is now an integral part of BUTTING's corporate culture. The charitable organisation stands for a sense of solidarity and the strong commitment of the employees.
It supports people and institutions in need, regional associations and projects in education, youth and elderly care. In this way, the development association helps where support is needed - in an uncomplicated way, close to people and with long-term commitment.
Since its foundation, more than 900 projects have already been supported and over 650,000 euros have been made available for social and charitable purposes. Many of the sponsored initiatives strengthen social life and support people in different life situations.
In the past financial year 2025 alone, the association was once again able to provide important assistance:
24 applications were approved and a total of 12,737 euros were distributed. There are currently 284 members of the association.
A particular highlight of this year's Annual General Meeting was the generous anniversary donation of 7,777 euros from Hermann Butting, the owner of BUTTING.
"For 35 years, the association has shown how much can be achieved when people stand up for each other. This commitment symbolises our strong sense of togetherness and our close ties with the region," says Thomas Knöfel, 1st Chairman of the BUTTING Friends' Association.
The commitment of the employees is an example of how sustainability is practised at BUTTING: thinking long-term, taking responsibility and making a positive contribution to people and the region together.
This is how community creates something that lasts:
Trust. Cohesion. And responsibility for people and the region.
BUTTING - more than pipes - for a better quality of life
