Knowing the limits of the machines and of yourself - that's what it's all about in many of our jobs. On the road to Knesebeck, this applies to all of us. Whether by bike, moped or car, it is essential that we correctly assess our abilities and know the limits of our vehicles. For car or motorbike drivers, driving safety training offers a good opportunity to get to know these limits and gain important experience.
How does my car behave in aquaplaning or on ice? Up to what speeds can I still swerve safely? How long is my braking distance in the rain? All these situations were faced by 25 young machine and plant operator trainees during driver safety training at Hammersteinpark in Wesendorf.
A particularly valuable aspect of the training was that there was no danger to other road users on the traffic training facility. The conclusion: every trainee showed a steep learning curve. Every year, our future employees take part in driver safety training. Michaela Nolte explains: "With our "Edel & Stark" benefit programme, all employees have the opportunity to receive a voucher for driver safety training every five years."
