The future needs technology - success needs team spirit

BUTTING stands for high-precision stainless steel processing, technological excellence and reliable solutions worldwide. But long-term success is not achieved through technology alone - it is underpinned by a corporate culture based on values. It characterises daily interaction at all BUTTING locations and creates an environment in which trust, responsibility and cooperation can grow.

Whether in Knesebeck, Schwedt, Brazil or China - at all BUTTING locations we invest specifically in the cohesion of our workforce. Because where community grows, motivation also increases - and with it the long-term success of the company.

Team event in Tieling
A current example from Tieling, our production facility in north-east China, impressively demonstrates how our values are put into practice in everyday working life. The team manufactures containers, tanks and ready-to-assemble components for international markets on around 10,000 square metres every working day. In addition to product quality and efficient processes, the workforce takes centre stage - with a clear focus on safe working conditions, resource conservation and strong team spirit.

Just how vibrant this culture is was demonstrated on 8 June 2025: on the initiative of the employees, BUTTING Tieling organised a joint hike. Early in the morning, 95 colleagues set off in two buses to Jiuding Tiecha - a mountain range steeped in history around 80 kilometres south of the site.

Experience community: Hike to Jiuding Tiecha
Jiuding Tiecha is considered the birthplace of Taoism in north-east China. As early as 1630, a Taoist priest retreated to the Yunguang Cave - over the centuries, this spiritual tradition developed into an important monastery that is no longer active today.

The route led over five peaks with heights of over 900 metres through an area around 20 kilometres long, characterised by steep cliffs, historical inscriptions and caves. The varied landscape offered space for exercise, dialogue and moments of quiet contemplation - far away from the daily grind.

The highlight: a rest together at the highest point of the route, in the best weather and with snacks brought along. A moment of solidarity and appreciation - and a lasting impression for everyone involved.

In the afternoon, the group returned to Tieling satisfied and refreshed. For many, it was clear that this experience had fostered team spirit in a special way - and strengthened the sense of togetherness in the long term.
