At BUTTING, training is more than just learning - it is celebrated. With pride, with appreciation, with the courage to develop further and with a firm belief in the future.
61 young people have decided to start their professional journey at BUTTING. This is not a matter of course, but a strong sign. While the shortage of skilled labour and concerns about the next generation are causing many companies headaches, BUTTING is sending a strong signal. "Getting young people interested in our work is one of the most important tasks for us as a company. Without our future leaders, it would not be possible to continue developing BUTTING," says company owner Hermann Butting, emphasising the importance of training.
On 1 August, the time had come at BUTTING in Knesebeck: the 44 new trainees and their families were welcomed to the factory premises for the start of the 2025 training year.
"There are big things ahead of you, reach for the stars!" - Jörn Kubiak, Head of the Pipe Technology business unit, and Hanne Butting, Director Business Development, opened the event with this encouraging message.
The trainers also took advantage of the event to personally introduce themselves and their own career paths to the new future leaders.
One of the highlights of the day was the comprehensive factory tour of the 500,000m2 site. The new trainees and their mentors were given exciting insights into the diverse production areas and processes at BUTTING.
The newest members of the employee family rounded off their first day together with a shared snack and a subsequent round of introductions.
The starting signal for the new training year was also given at BUTTING Anlagenbau in Schwedt: 16 trainees in two training professions started on 4 August. Their welcome event took place in mid-July, where the trainers and the new trainees were able to get to know each other. The families of the future employees were also part of the event. Because at BUTTING, we know that no successful training programme can begin without the trust and support of the family.
The new training year starts at the Burgkirchen site on 1 September. A trainee in office management will be joining our team here.
