Bolt, romp, experience community - this is the motto under which BUTTING supports numerous localities in the construction or new construction of football pitches. Six projects around the headquarters in Knesebeck were selected, supported and completed.
The subsidised villages of Bokel, Hankensbüttel, Hohne, Hoitlingen, Lüdelsen and Stöcken now have modern and safe football pitches, most of which were built by the village communities themselves with the help and support of BUTTING.
For company owner Hermann Butting, the project is a real labour of love: "My fondest childhood memories include the times I spent on the football pitch. That's where I learned team spirit, commitment and cohesion."
His enthusiasm for football and his attachment to the region were the driving forces behind the sponsorship programme. The programme was deliberately not about traditional sponsorship, but about helping people to help themselves. The village communities came together to realise the football pitches: Young and old worked hand in hand, got actively involved and realised their football pitch projects with a great deal of initiative. The result was much more than just a new place to play - a sense of community and a strong identification with the football pitches grew. BUTTING is particularly proud of the production of the football goals: BUTTING trainees in Knesebeck took care of the manufacturing in the training workshop. Even at the first meeting of the winning localities, it quickly became clear how committed the people in charge were to their projects. Now that all the work has been completed, it is clear to see what life in the many small towns is all about: community action, mutual support and a lot of creativity.
