"BUTTING is establishing a new production site in America" – this news caused quite a stir a few months ago. At the ground-breaking ceremony on 13 November, Marcel Bartels (CEO of the Division Plant Construction BUTTING Group) and Adrian Rochofski (CEO of BUTTING USA), together with local officials, partners, and politicians, planted a live oak tree, which is typical of the southern states of the USA and symbolises strength and longevity. “Loxley is now part of the BUTTING family. We are here to stay. Together, we will build something that will benefit future generations too,” emphasised Adrian Rochofski.
With the establishment of the new production site in Loxley, Alabama, BUTTING is taking another step towards the sustainable development of the long-established Knesebeck-based company. "With our strengths in forming, welding, machining and materials technology and our expertise in engineering, logistics, assembly and quality assurance, we are the perfect partner for demanding applications in the USA. Whether in the energy industry, semiconductor manufacturing or other projects. Our American customers place great value on quality and local production. With the new location, we will now be able to meet the demand for products manufactured in the USA in addition to the usual BUTTING quality," says Marcel Bartels, explaining the reasons for the big move across the Atlantic.
In a video message, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey welcomed BUTTING: “We are proud to welcome this historic family business to Alabama and look forward to seeing it put down roots here.”
The first production hall is scheduled for completion at the end of 2026. BUTTING has already begun building a team on site. Until they move into the new hall, the first products will be manufactured in a rented hall on American soil.
