Just in time for Thanksgiving, the festival of gratitude, BUTTING Canada can look back on 20 years of success.
What once began as a bold adventure is now an integral part of the international BUTTING network. Two decades ago, BUTTING Canada opened its doors in Calgary, laying the foundation for an impressive success story in North America.
In the early 2000s, BUTTING recognised the great opportunities offered by the North American energy sector. Hermann Butting, President of the BUTTING Group, decided to take a bold step: "Our aim was to offer customer proximity, service and our technical expertise directly on site. That's why we set up our sales office in Calgary." Over the years, the small local team grew into an established partner for the oil and gas, chemical and pulp and paper industries.
Today, BUTTING Canada is known as a reliable partner in the North American market and is closely integrated into the Group's global network. With a dedicated team, a broad stock programme and a great technical understanding of the requirements of the industries, the branch makes an important contribution to the international presence of the BUTTING Group.
The 20th anniversary was celebrated in September. Hermann and Heike Butting and Marcel Bartels (CEO Plant Engineering Division of the BUTTING Group) visited the team in Calgary. After a joint breakfast, an excursion to the Rocky Mountains impressively demonstrated the solidarity of the colleagues and their families. Hiking, activities for young and old and much more. The celebration reflected the values of the BUTTING Group: cohesion, respect and the joy of working together.
As the Thanksgiving season dawns in North America, BUTTING Canada looks back on the past two decades with special gratitude. "Our thanks go to everyone who has contributed to this success story: The dedicated employees, long-standing customers with whom we have worked in partnership and trust, and so many more," lists Hermann Butting. "This year, our thoughts on Thanksgiving are with them in particular. Together, we will continue to ask which products and services we can use to support our customers' success.
