Finland, the cradle and Mecca of the paper and pulp industry, has inspired us - and now the BUTTING Group is proud to be settling down in this innovative country. From January 2025, the renowned assembly company PrePipe Oy with around 50 dedicated employees will be part of the BUTTING Group.

PrePipe has been operating in Lappeenranta, Finland, since 2006 and specialises in pipe installation for maintenance and project work. The company supplies the Finnish pulp and paper industry as well as other plant engineering sectors.
In the dynamic region of south-east Finland, which is known for its world-class paper and pulp production companies, PrePipe has built up an excellent reputation over the past decades. Today, the company is one of the leading specialists in pipe installation.
The local presence enables BUTTING to support our customers in the region with customised solutions and to participate in major projects at an early stage. Thanks to the cooperation with BUTTING China and BUTTING Anlagenbau in Schwedt, high-quality and cost-effective prefabrication (a type of pre-assembly in the workshop) can be utilised.
The management of PrePipe remains in experienced hands: Mika Myllys will continue as CEO, supported by Miika Airaksinen. Michael Gades, a member of the BUTTING family of employees for more than 30 years and an expert in pipeline construction, will ensure a smooth integration into the BUTTING Group.
With PrePipe Oy, the BUTTING Group is further expanding its expertise in the field of pipe installation and strengthening its capabilities, particularly for companies in the paper and pulp industry in Scandinavia.
