BUTTING apprentices are excellent: Honouring the best in the profession

The awards ceremony for the best graduate apprentices in the Lüneburg-Wolfsburg chamber district was held at the Gifhorn town hall at the end of September. Two apprentices from the stainless steel processor BUTTING were honoured as the best in their respective apprenticeships.

In the Lüneburg-Wolfsburg district of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), around 4 000 apprentices passed their final examinations this year. During the ceremony, 96 of them were honoured as the best apprentice of the year in their respective profession. The winners achieved an overall score of at least 92 out of 100 possible points. Two BUTTING apprentices completed their training with top marks and demonstrated their skills with their outstanding results in various training occupations: Leo Baumtrok as a specialist for warehouse logistics and Lukas Vodde as an electronics technician for industrial engineering.

Lukas Vodde took an impressive first place among the electronics engineers with an overall result of 96 %. He started his studies in the autumn semester. Leo Baumtrok proved his ability among the specialists for warehouse logistics and attained an outstanding second place. He has continued to work for the Logistics Department at BUTTING following the completion of his apprenticeship.

The graduate apprentices, their parents and the trainers are proud of the top placings. "We are delighted with the results, because they demonstrate the good performance of our apprentices and our trainers", sums up Carsten Kamke, who is responsible for commercial and technical training in the family-owned company.

Stefan Fuß, Head of Human Resources at BUTTING in Knesebeck, adds: "We offer our apprentices highly qualified training in which we impart the theoretical and practical knowledge that is needed to successfully complete their apprenticeship and optimally prepare our apprentices for their future careers."
