With its expertise in welding and materials technology, BUTTING has been a reliable partner for a wide range of products in nuclear facilities since 1958. BUTTING has also been a member of Global Nuclear Metal Supply (GNMS) for ten years.
GNMS is a co-operation of European manufacturers and stockholders. The common goal is to provide customers in the nuclear industry with a direct supply of the products they need and thus offer an efficient value and supply chain - from the raw material supplier to the end product. The participating companies from the metal processing sector combine maximum flexibility with outstanding engineering skills. Thanks to the network of members, customers can be offered customised product solutions or entire projects economically and quickly from a single source.
Finnish stainless steel manufacturer Outokumpu has been part of the co-operation since this year. The Helsinki-based company is one of the largest manufacturers of stainless steels in the world and a reliable partner of the BUTTING Group. The new co-operation strengthens the position of GNMS on the international nuclear market. To celebrate the expansion of the network, Outokumpu organised the GNMS Board Meeting in Degerfors, Sweden.
