BUTTING gets moving: Get your running shoes on and go!

BUTTING regards workplace health promotion as very important. The family business offers its employees a large number of preventive measures to promote their health. These range from regular fruit days to free advice on addiction. At the end of August, a popular event was on the programme again: the company run in the nearby city of Brunswick, in which more than 20 employees of BUTTING in Knesebeck took part.

The company run in Brunswick has been a fixed part of the annual programme for many years. A total of 24 BUTTING employees packed their running shoes and went to the starting line for the family company. The 5 km long run took place on a circular course round the football stadium. Nearly 3 200 runners from more than 200 companies from the region took part in the run. As well as the individual race, it was also possible to compete in different categories, such as "Fastest Apprentice" or "Fastest Boss".

One of the BUTTING runners achieved 39th place in the individual race with a good time of 20 minutes 30 seconds. In the "Fastest Boss" category, Norbert Heinzle, Managing Director of BUTTING in Knesebeck, made the podium in third place: "An event like this is fun and you're doing something to improve your health. Taking part as a team also has a positive effect on the feeling of togetherness among colleagues. We look forward to coming back again next year."

The aim of workplace health promotion is to preserve and improve the physical, psychological, mental and social health of all employees – across the board for all risk and age-groups. Every year BUTTING carries out a wide variety of measures on different focus topics.
