BUTTING – Packing and dispatch

Our products have to arrive safely, quickly and without damages at their desti- nation in any part of the world. Adequate packing is also an essential part of quality assurance. In case of contaminations or damages the best material selection and fabrication are useless, if goods are not properly protected.

Within the scope of extensive quality assurance, BUTTING developed custo- mized packing methods to suit the size of the products and the transport conditions. For special demands, like dirt resistance and solidity, e. g. for the transport of containers for the storage of nuclear waste, special packing methods were developed.

Furthermore, our packing methods improve different logistic processes, e. g. by shorter loading and offloading times, by more secure loads, easier tranship- ments, by easy recycling of the packing materials and storage.

The good geographic location of our sites offer further advantages to you. In Knesebeck and also in Schwedt, prefabricated products, like vessels having a width of up to approx. 4 m, can be delivered without any problems by truck. For transport by rail, a factory rail link is available. At both sites big vessels can be despatched economically by barge via the direct access to the Elbe-Lateral- Canal near Wittingen or the new Oder-harbour of Schwedt. The short distance to the airports of Berlin, Hanover and Hamburg helps us to realize urgent deliveries to other continents.
