Apprenticeship starts for 2015 – A step towards the future

At the start of apprenticeship training on 1 August, 42 apprentices for nine different careers were welcomed at the BUTTING sites in Knesebeck and Schwedt/Oder.

Hermann Butting set the ball rolling on 3 August by welcoming the apprentices and their parents, along with the trainers and instructors in Knesebeck. He congratulated the parents as the start of an apprenticeship was also a step towards adult life. It was a step into the future for the young people and for BUTTING, said Hermann Butting, because the company thought in terms of generations. The new apprentices now included some examples of third generation employees.

After the trainers and instructors had briefly introduced themselves to the apprentices as well, a traditional souvenir photo was taken on the premises, in front of the company logo. Then the new arrivals explored the site in teams and their first day at BUTTING ended for them with a little snack.

In the customary team week from 3 until 7 August, the apprentices have the opportunity to get to know the company better. In-house training sessions, talks to be developed in groups and the BUTTING site rally will help the apprentices to find their way round BUTTING.

BUTTING in Schwedt also welcomed ten new apprentices to train as plant mechanics.

We welcome all the new apprentices to our staff family and wish them a successful training period.
